The Blackheath Upholsterer


Lisa Yau-Alfredson is the Blackheath Upholsterer, an independent upholsterer based by the Thames  in south-east London. Lisa has undertaken extensive training in the artisan craft of upholstery at The Cass, London Metropolitan University (formerly the London College of Furniture), supported by the Livery Guild, the Worshipful Company of Upholders. She was awarded the  industry diploma from The Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers (AMUSF) in recognition of the high standards and skills attained in the execution of both traditional and contemporary upholstery.  As a craft maker, the Blackheath Upholsterer will ensure quality and beautiful tailoring of client commissions whilst respecting the integrity of the original piece of furniture.
